RM2 WarpZone Help

Thank you for choosing RM2 WarpZone!

RM2 WarpZone is a Freeware "Add-On" utility for MVPSoft's popular RoboMaze II game for DOS. It allows you to "warp" to any level of this tough game, allowing you to at last be able to play the levels that you could never make it to!

Installation:

RM2 WarpZone requires RoboMaze II shareware or registered version. If you don't have a copy, you can get it from just about any file library. Look for the file 1RM2.ZIP. Most gaming websites have RoboMaze II available for download, in large part because it is such a cool game be be so small a file (119kb)!
To install, simply copy the RM2 WarpZone files into the directory on your computer that contains RoboMaze II.
RoboMaze II is a DOS game. Your version of Windows must support DOS programs (Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, etc. but not XP)

Basic Operation:

Simply select a level from the list and click the "Robot" button to play the selected level.
Click the "Hanging Basket" toolbar button to view/edit the (uncomplete) Symbol Guide for editing RoboMaze level files.

Advanced Operation:

It is possible to create your own levels if you are up to it! I have mapped some but not all of the codes used in the RoboMaze level file format . Much of the art of RoboMaze level editing is uncharted territory. Please explore and share the results with me. Valuable contributions will be added to future updates of RM2 WarpZone!
Editing of RoboMaze level files requires DOS EDIT or comparable text editor that is capable of displaying the special ASCII codes used in the RoboMaze level file format. Many of these ASCII codes do not correctly display in Windows text editors like NOTEPAD, so you won't be able to see what you are creating without using a DOS-based text editor.

Current Limitations:

Your robot will always appear at the spot that he appears at on Level 1. On some levels, this means instant death. Many of the levels are thus unplayable.
If you make it out the selected room, you will die and the game will be over.

License:

RM2 WarpZone is Freeware! It may be freely distributed by anyone to anyone else without financial obligation to register, purchase, compenate, or otherwise have to send me money . However, I still retain copyright to the software. This means that you can not sell it either. This is Free software. No one is to charge money for it, ever. Me, you, nobody.
